ITAM photography<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>In the event,<\/strong> the winning teams of past competitions participated, as well as, students from <strong>ITAM, UNAM, UAM, CETIS, ITESM<\/strong> Mexico City campus, among others. <strong>The competitions was divided in two categories: Mega Hackathon track and Mega Hackathon<\/strong>. For the latter, <strong>$9,500.00 dollars were awarded in prizes.<\/strong> The participants had a total of 24 hours to complete their projects. Once the time ran out, each of the team had to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pitch<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> their idea. From the pitch, the best ten teams where chosen to present their projects. Finally, <strong>to give continuity to the winning projects, the<\/strong> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gear.foundation\/es\"><strong><i>Gear Foundation <\/i><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>will support the teams<\/strong> with marketing, coding and contacting them with possible investors, among other things.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Winners<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The ITAM&#8217;s team<\/strong>, formed by <strong>Ana Sof\u00eda R\u00edos, Danya Carolina, Diego Jimenez, Francisco Cordero and Gerardo Godefrey <\/strong>\u2014member winner of the Hackathon&#8217;s first edition\u2014 participated and <strong>got the first place in the Mega Hackathon track category<\/strong> with their <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fan Line<\/span><\/i> project. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their proposal <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">consisted of creating tickets for massive events using <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NFTs<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and with the characteristics of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">blockchain, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">warrant the safety of the transactions<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In order to prevent tickets reselling, the app would link itself to <em>Spotify<\/em> to access the artist&#8217;s most active listeners and provide them with priority to the virtual queue. <strong>The second and third place where awarded, respectively, to the teams<\/strong> <\/span><strong><i>IOT Production<\/i> and <i>Insomnio<\/i>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, <strong>the first place in the Mega Hackaton category and winner of $4,000.00 USD was <\/strong><\/span><strong><i>Varaverse<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an independent team formed by UNAM graduates. Their idea consisted in creating a decentralized metaverse. <strong>The second place, winner of the $2,000.00 USD prize, was Pawsitive Vibes<\/strong>; meanwhile, <strong>the third place, winner of the $1,000.00 USD prize, went to<\/strong> <\/span><strong><i>Rutzo<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
