Last august 7th, alumni of the Accounting, Business Administration and Economics undergraduate programs at ITAM met for breakfast to share a pleasant reunion and discuss the recent changes in the institution. In a friendly environment, Dr. Arturo Fernandez, ITAM’s Dean, explained how the education provided by ITAM continues to impact positively in its alumni, allowing them to occupy management positions in a national and international level.

ITAM Projection: a philanthropy project and institutional development

During the breakfast, the ITAM Projection campaign, aimed at strengthening the academic scholarships program and boosting entrepreneurship, research and infrastructure areas on a long run. The Advisory Board and the donors in attendance discussed about the importance of joining the initiative to make the dreams come true of talented young people that wish to study in our beloved alma mater.

ITAM Projection Advisory Council

The heart of this gathering was in the presentation of the ITAM Projection project, initiative that, supported by the philanthropy of its community, looks to broaden the source of financing in the Institute. This project was built on the pillars of ITAM’s educational mission: academic scholarships that reflect the giving culture, entrepreneurship pushed by empathy towards new generations, research focused on well-being and improvements in infrastructure to promote an enviroment of excellence.

Enriching the mission and strengthening the community

Dean Arturo Fernandez shared a new mission that focuses on personalized education since day one, facilitating the transition to university life and strengthening the academic and personal development of the students. This focus close to the professors assures that ITAM graduates acquire both technical knowledge and critical abilities, like analytical thinking and problem solving. Also, the program includes coursed in general studies that encourages ethic behavior, intellectual curiosity and critical thinking, forming citizens committed with a more free, fair and prosper society. The philanthropy programs and extracurricular activities allow students to participate in community projects and develop a deep sense of social responsibilty.

ITAM also remains at the forefront of the best educational practice worldwide, renovating its educational offer to include new key subjects for each discipline. The program include digital and technological essential skills, providing its graduates with a competitive advantage in the job market. In addition, cross-cutting skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork are reinforced. The wellbeing of the students is a priority, with academic, psychological and career support programs that ensures a balanced university experience. Finally, the strategy of ITAM fund-raising guarantees scholarship programs that facilitate access to quality education, allowing us to form a diverse base of highly qualified and committed students.
