On november 17th, to commemorate 30 years of the Political Science Undergraduate Program, a master lecture of professor Federico Estevez “A lesson among peers” took place. The lecture was organized by the Alonso Lujambio Studies Center and the Department of Political Science at ITAM.
“Since its beginnings, the Department of Political Science, has played a fundamental role in Mexico’s politics. (…) I consider that the contribution from the department and from our alumni of the Political Science undergraduate program has been fundamental in the construction of democratic institutions, and in what they are still ”, commented Provost Alejandro Hernández Delgado.

Impact of the Alonso Lujambio Scholarship
To close the ceremony, were a time-line of the 30 years of the Political Science Undergrad Program was presented, Alejandro Rocha, a student, shared the impact the Alonso Lujambio scholarship had in his life.
“The Alonso Lujambio scholarship made the difference in that today i can be here. (…) ITAM extended its hand to me and trusted me, (…) it gave me plenty of opportunities that I’ve been trying to seize. I am proud to study in this institution, all the support ITAM has provided has created in me a sense of reciprocity (…) A compromise that i have with myself is to one day be a donor to the Alonso Lujambio scholarship”, Alejandro Rocha shared.
